Bob Dylan's First TV Interview In 19 Years

Published: 2004-12-02
The New York Post is reporting that 63 year old Bob Dylan has granted his first television interview in 19 years. He reportedly sat down with interviewer Ed Bradley for 90 minutes discussing a wide range of topics from his career and fame, to his relationships with the press and his father. The interview will reportedly air December 5th on CBS.

Dylan has granted interviews in the past, but almost exclusively to print media outlets. He is notoriously press shy and is very secretive when he does do interviews. For an October interview with Newsweek's David Gates, to discuss Dylan's new memoirs entitled Chronicles, Volume One, he insisted that they meet in a motel room, the location of which he would only disclose as somewhere in the Midwest. Dylan most recently wrapped up a U.S. tour, and his memoirs are receiving warm reviews praising the usually guarded star's openness and straightforward style.
