Coldplay Set Release For New Album

Published: 2004-12-01
The way things are going, it looks as if the next release from Coldplay will make as big of a stir as U2's latest. Anticipation for Coldplay's new record can now officially start to mushroom, as the British four-piece has put a projected release period on the as-yet-untitled project. If a specific date hasn't yet been selected, fans can now circle the month of March 2005 as the coming of the newest Coldplay offering.

Upon its release, the new effort from Chris Martin and Company will be the band's third full-length studio album. The band's sophomore release, the highly critically-acclaimed 'A Rush of Blood to the Head', was put on shelves in 2002, and their equally beloved debut 'Parachutes' was released in the summer of 2000. Coldplay also released a live album last December, the music for which was taken from their worldwide tour in support of 'A Rush of Blood to the Head'.

To support their new album, it's expected that Coldplay will embark on a tour in summer 2005. At this point its completely unknown if the quartet plans to make a return to Canada, but one can always hope.
