Poison Guitar Returned

Published: 2004-11-30
A guitar belonging to former Poison lead singer Bret Michaels, worth about $3,000 US, was returned to Chicago's WLUP FM late last week after an emotional plea for the guitar's safe return was posted on Michael's website. The guitar was stolen during the last song of Michael's set at McCool's in Valparaiso, Indiana on Friday, November 12 according to Michaels' website. The distinctive red and white Holden electric six string features a picture of a skull wearing a top hat.

The guitar was delivered anonymously to a Chicago nightclub where WLUP was hosting a promotional event last Thursday. Station managers are arranging for the guitar's return to its rightful owner. Michaels is currently in the midst of his Freedom of Sound Tour in the US.
