Incubus Singer Fined For Switchblade Incident

Incubus singer Brandon Boyd was issued a $250 fine for attempting to board an airplane while carrying a switchblade. Boyd pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct, a step down from the original charge of criminal possession of a weapon.

Boyd had purchased the switchblade in Amsterdam, according to the Associated Press, and claimed that he used it on camping trips. He was caught with the weapon in his toiletry bag as he attempted to board a flight from New York to a show in North Carolina.

Incubus recently completed their North American tour in support of their latest release, A Crow Left of the Murder. They plan to spend the first half of 2005 recording material for the upcoming Jamie Foxx movie, Stealth, which will be in theatres in July. Boyd and co. have also been tapped to write the score for a documentary chronicling the life of surfboard shaper Al Merrick.
