Junior Pantherz Plan New Album

Published: 2004-11-26
Saskatoon Indie rockers Junior Pantherz are ready to enter the studio to record a new LP, their fifth in only 5 years together as a band. The boys from Saskatoon have 7 new tracks, and expect to release the LP sometime in the spring.

The Pantherz will also be bringing a camera into the studio with them to record material for a DVD that will be released at the same time as the album. The disc will feature footage spanning their entire career from their debut in 1999 to their opening slot for The Pixies in Saskatoon this past summer.

Last night the band played to a hometown crowd for the first time in 7 months, a testament to their busy schedule and rising status in the indie scene. Another sign that the cats are ready for bigger things: their last 2 records, 2003's Ballistics, and 2001's The Last Two Million Years, are down to only a few copies.
