Kings of Leon's 'Heartbreak' Hits North America

Published: 2004-11-26
Their sophomore album has taken off in the UK, with first single 'The Bucket' still going strong following its fall release. Even though Kings of Leon hail from Tennessee, fans closer to the Followills' home will have to wait a while longer to get their hands on 'Aha Shake Heartbreak'. Released earlier this November in Britain, the record is scheduled to drop on February 22nd here in North America.

Featuring 12 new songs from the Kings, 'Aha Shake Heartbreak' is the follow-up to their 2003 debut 'Youth & Young Manhood'. Comprised of three brothers and one cousin, Kings of Leon first hit the mid-garage craze scene in early 2003 with 'Holy Roller Novocaine'. The record was just a 5-song EP, but it caused the anticipation for the boys' first full-length to balloon immensely.

The track-listing of 'Aha Shake Heartbreak' is:

'Slow Night, So Long'
'King of the Rodeo'
'Taper Jean Girl'
'Pistol of Fire'
'The Bucket'
'Day Old Blues'
'Four Kicks'
'Velvet Snow'

This month the Kings of Leon are travelling about Europe, hitting places like Paris, Barcelona, and Berlin. For the majority of December the quartet is playing in the UK, all the way up till Christmas Eve. Following the release of 'Aha Shake Heartbreak' in North America it can be expected that Kings of Leon will tour the continent, although no plans have been officially announced.
