Nightwish Celebrate Success

Published: 2004-11-24
Finnish female-fronted melodic metal royalty Nightwish, having successfully conquered Finland, Europe and parts beyond, are set to celebrate their success by releasing the Platinum edition of their latest album, "Once," November 24th on Spinefarm records. The album will contain the same track listing as the original album, but will also include the bonus tracks "Live To Tell the Tale" and "White Night Fantasy." The disc will also include a video for the song "Nemo," directed by Antti Jokinen.

On the same day, Spinefarm will release the third single from "Once," entitled "Kuolema tekee taiteilijan." The single will also have an instrumental version of their song "Creek Mary's Blood," as well as a cover of Megadeth's "Symphony of Destruction." In keeping with this hectic release pace, Nightwish also plan to release a DVD entitled "End of Innocence" on November 30th.

The band has just wrapped up another European tour, finishing with a show in Paris on November 21st, and now move on to 10 shows scheduled in Central and South America. Nightwish then bring their euro-metal attack to Canada for a brief three show stopover before going back to their home continent for yet another European leg, including a triumphant return to their native soil on Boxing Day. Toronto music fans of all ages will be able to catch Nightwish December 18th at the Opera House.
