Vancouver singer/songwriter Jeremy Fisher has got himself a ticket to the eastern side of the country, and once there will proceed to rock out for the last part of the year. So far Fisher has 8 performances lined-up, with the first coming on November 26th in the nation's capital. The last gig the musician has penciled in on his calendar is December 14th in St. Catharines, Ontario.
The reason Fisher has decided to uproot himself and spend the majority of December in Ontario is to support his newest album. Released last month on October 12th, 'Let It Shine' is the singer's very first album at a major label. Picked up by Sony Music Canada, Fisher's labelmates now include the likes of Chantal Kreviazuk, 54-40, and Leonard Cohen.
Inspiration for Fisher's most recent batch of songs comes mainly from his experiences of the past four years. A modern day troubadour, Fisher toured the continent on his bicycle (yes, his bicycle) covering 7500km in six months, and busking in a slew of cities across North America. All 10 tracks of 'Let It Shine', as well as the video for first single 'Lemon Meringue Pie', are posted on Fisher's official website for your listening pleasure at www.jeremyfishermusic.com.
