Kathleen Edwards Follows-up ëFailerí

After spending a good chunk of time recording and mixing her new album in Los Angeles, Kathleen Edward's sophomore effort has finally got a release date. The record has been given the name 'Back To Me', and will hit shelves on March 1st, 2005. 'Back To Me' is the follow-up to the Ottawa singer's debut album 'Failer', which was released in 2003.

Edwards currently does not have any extensive tour plans scheduled yet, but fans can expect the singer/songwriter to tour nationally in support of 'Back To Me'. Edwards' only Canadian date for the last part of 2004 comes as part of a benefit concert for the United Way. She'll be joined by fellow artists Sam Roberts, Sarah Harmer, Tom Wilson, Danny Michel, and Matt Mays, among others, on December 8th at the Phoenix in Toronto. Tickets for the 'Yule Be Glad You Did Holiday Jam' go on sale this Friday (November 19th) through Ticketmaster.

In addition to the charity concert, Edwards is set to jet off to Ireland to play 4 December shows there. She'll be opening for singer/songwriter Josh Ritter in three different cities across the country.

Released in January of 2003, Edward's debut album 'Failer' produced quite a few hits for the singer. Getting recognition from both the rock and country communities, songs like 'Six O'clock News' and 'Hockey Skates' helped Edwards to get an opening spot at 2003's SARStock, which of course was headlined by none other than The Rolling Stones themselves.
