The Nein Set to Discover Toques

This December North Carolina band The Nein will don their snow boots and head across the border to play a series of dates in Canada this winter. Five of the six of the band's upcoming performances are set to take place in Ontario, with their last gig in the country happening in Montreal, Quebec on December 16th.

The first show The Nein play in Canada will be at their record label's Christmas party. For although The Nein hail from the USA, the four-piece is in fact signed to Hamilton based Sonic Unyon records. The full line-up of Sonic Unyon bands ready to set the evening of December 11th off with a bang is: Raising The Fawn, A Northern Chorus, Sianspheric, Sleeper Set Sail, and of course, The Nein.

Out and about supporting their debut self-titled EP (released October 2004), The Nein will also make a few stops around their home nation in both December and January. Also coming for the quartet in the New Year is the impending release of their first full-length album. The long player is slated for release in April of 2005, and will feature all four members, whereas their EP was recorded when The Nein was but a trio.

At the Sonic Unyon website (, the track 'War Is on the Stereo' from The Nein's eponymous EP is available for download for the cost of zero dollars.
