Hot Snakes Circle The Globe

Published: 2004-11-02
To support their latest release, punk revivalists Hot Snakes are touring both North America and the UK. The US/Canada leg of the tour kicked off late last month after the band returned from the UK, and is set to continue until November 22nd, where the band will stop in Austin Texas. There are just two Canadian dates on the Hot Snakes schedule, both taking place on the eastern side of the country.

The album which the band is globe trekking in order to promote is called 'Audit in Progress', and was released last month on October 5th. Hot Snakes' third full-length record, 'Audit in Progress' features a bit of a different line-up than their previous two outings did. This is the first album the Snakes made without drummer Mario Rubalcaba.

Hot Snakes first appeared on the scene in the year 2000, with their debut album 'Automatic Midnight'. Formed out of members from bands like Rocket From The Crypt, Drive Like Jehu, and Delta 72, Hot Snakes automatically had some amazing rock'n'roll potential. Loud, fast, and full of energy, Hot Snakes' music is never lacking in intensity, that's for sure.

Hot Snakes' Canadian gigs:

November 8 Toronto, ON - Lee's Palace
November 9 Montreal, QC - La Sala Rossa
