Serena Ryder Takes 'Unlikely Emergency' On Tour

While she was unable to tour with Blackie & the Rodeo Kings, Peterborough's Serena Ryder is determined to honour her upcoming November dates. The folk-blues singer is set to kick off a series of dates with Lindy on November 11th in Saskatoon. After 9 stops, the western Canadian tour will wrap up in Winnipeg on November 21st.

Ryder is out and about touring to promote her most recent release called 'Unlikely Emergency'. Produced by fellow Canadian Hawksley Workman, 'Unlikely Emergency' is the singer's fourth solo effort, but first international release. Released through Maple Music in the summer of 2004, the album features 9 tracks written by the artist, and a cover of 'At Last'. The 21-year-old Ryder also released a 6-song live album in 2002 which was originally recorded for CBC Radio.
