On November 30th, singer/songwriter Andy Stochansky's newest batch of songs will be released. Although it's not a full-length album, 'Shine' is the next best thing - an EP. Produced by John Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls, 'Shine' contains 5 tracks. In addition to the approaching release of his newest record, Stochansky will play a few dates around the country.

The track-listing of the 'Shine EP':

'Butterfly Song'
'Stutter (live)'
'House of Gold (live)'

Hailing from Toronto, Stochansky has been in the music business a long time, although not always as a singer/songwriter. The musician first forayed into music playing drums for Ani DiFranco for the better part of a decade. Stochansky's first solo album was called 'While You Slept' (released in 1996), which he recorded while he was still on tour with DiFranco. He also released an album called 'Radio Fusebox', which didn't see daylight until four years after his debut, in 2000.

At Andy Stochansky's official web site (, you can watch the video for 'Wonderful (It's Superman)', a song from his latest full-length album 'Five Star Motel' (released summer 2002).

Andy Stochanksy's upcoming dates:

October 29 Hamilton, ON - Absinthe
November 5 Montreal, QC - Le Swimming
November 6 Waterloo, ON - Starlight
November 13 Kingston, ON - The Grad Club
