The Hidden Cameras Reveal Themselves

Published: 2004-10-20
Making quite a splash on both sides of the pond, Toronto's Hidden Cameras make the flashbulbs go off quite a lot these days. This makes it extra nice that Joel Gibb and his band mates still have time to play a few gigs in the homeland. The next three months will see The Hidden Cameras play 17 shows all around the globe: Scotland, England, New York, New Jersey, France - and yes Canada.

Three of The Hidden Cameras' forthcoming performances will take place in the true north. Included in those three dates is an appearance at the Halifax Pop Explosion. The music festival, which boasts fellow Canadians The Organ, The Arcade Fire, and The Frenetics, among many others, will run from November 4th to November 6th.

Most recently released from the mind of Hidden Cameras leader Joel Gibb is the full-length studio album 'Mississauga Goddamn'. Containing 12 tracks featuring The Cameras' unique subject matter, 'Mississauga Goddamn' was released earlier this year. It marked the release of the band's third album; they also released 'Ecce Homo' in 2001, and in 2003 'The Smell of Our Own'.

Available for your reading pleasure is an interview with Hidden Cameras head honcho Joel Gibb in the 'features' section of Soul Shine.

Renowned for their live shows, The Hidden Cameras will delight audiences at these upcoming gigs:

November 4 Halifax, NS - St. Matthew's United Church (Halifax Pop Explosion)
November 6 Moncton, NB - Player's Lounge
November 9 Montreal, QC - El Salon
