The Bright Future of The Futureheads

Published: 2004-10-15
After a successful tour tagging along with Scottish rockers Franz Ferdinand, England's The Futureheads are ready to take on North America solo. The art rock four-piece will return to this side of the Atlantic in early November. The autumn month will see the band play twelve gigs, with just one in Canada.

The Futureheads' return to the land of snowfall and lumberjacks is set to take place on November 1st in Toronto at Lee's Palace.

Hailing from Sunderland, The Futureheads are touring tirelessly to support their debut album. Released on September 7th in North America, the self-titled record has gained large amounts of praise all around the globe. Comprised of 14 original tunes, and one cover (Kate Bush's 'Hounds of Love'), The Futureheads are looking to gain the attention of North American ears with their new album. Now looking as if they'll be one of the bands included in the new British Invasion, the four-piece never thought they'd leave the north of England.
