Building on the number of young Canadian crooners actively participating in the world music scene, Matt Dusk is ready to do his part and tour the continent this fall. The Toronto born singer has 17 dates lined-up for autumn months, with the first performance taking place on September 30th. The first date on home turf the 25 year-old will play is October 19th in Hamilton, Ontario. Dusk has a total of 9 Canadian shoes scheduled on the tour.
Over half of Dusk's Canadian gigs will be performed in the province of Ontario (five of the nine scheduled). The most location appropriate place the crooner will be showing off his talents in is Las Vegas, Nevada. Long been known as the crooner capital of the world, Vegas was the adopted home of Frank Sinatra and the rest of the Rat Pack. In addition to the glitzy town being in tune with his brand of music, Dusk made weekly appearances on the Fox television program The Casino.
Taking him on his first jaunt into the land of the United States, Dusk will be supporting his debut album 'Two Shots'. Released in June of 2004, the 12-track album featured the Bono and Edge penned 'Two Shots of Happy, One Shot of Sad'. The U2 band members originally wrote the song for one Frank Sinatra, but he died before he had a chance to record it. Lucky for Dusk, as the song was the first single off of 'Two Shots'.
