K-OS Brings a 'Joyful Rebellion' on Tour

Published: 2004-10-13
One of the most innovative emcees of not only Canada but the world, Toronto's K-OS is ready to bring his unique brand of rap to fans all across the country. Starting off in Victoria, and continuing his travel across the land until Montreal, the artist will hit a total of 9 Canadian cities. The tour begins on October 19th, with the last date falling two dates before Halloween on October 29th.

The rapper is out to support his most recent release, which is called 'Joyful Rebellion'. His sophomore full-length, 'Joyful Rebellion' is the follow-up to 2003's 'Exit'. Released in August in his native Canada and later on in September in the USA, the record has already spawned a hit single in 'Crabbuckit' which continues to climb up the Canadian charts.

More akin to lyrics that inspire rather than condemn or promote hate, K-OS (real name Kheaven Brereton) is a leader in the world of hip hop. Both of the artist's albums contain songs that mesh a host of musical styles, while remaining true to K-OS' vision. While he pens most of his own material, 'Joyful Rebellion' sees the rapper collaborating with Canadian rocker Sam Roberts on for a track.

Upcoming stops on K-OS' tour:

October 19 Victoria, BC - Legends
October 20 Vancouver, BC - Commodore Ballroom
October 22 Edmonton, AB - Starlite Room
October 23 Calgary, AB - Mount Royal College
October 24 Saskatoon, SK - University of Saskatchewan
October 25 Winnipeg, MB - Pyramid
October 27 Ottawa, ON - Capital Music Hall
October 28 Toronto, ON - Opera House
October 29 Montreal, QC - Club Soda
