Published: 2004-10-06
All of Jonathan Richman's faithful followers will be glad to hear the quirky musician is set to go on tour. The singer/songwriter will be out supporting his latest record 'Not So Much To Love As To Be Loved', which was released in June of this year. With a total of nine Canadian dates coming up, Richman has concentrated his gigs in Ontario, but has a few on the West Coast.

The first of Richman's Ontario performances is on November 8th in Toronto, with another two dates in the city. His last gig in the country will be December 11th in Vancouver, British Columbia.

'Not So Much To Be Loved As To Love' is Jonathan Richman's twenty-first album. Quite an impressive number of albums to his name, Richman was not always a solo artist. He first found success with the influential underground rock band The Modern Lovers back in the 1970s. After an argument over the sound of the band, Richman set-out on his own musical adventure. With one of the most devout followings this side of the Grateful Dead, the eccentric singer has continued success three decades after he first started in the business.
