Hailing from Victoria, the eccentric two man band that is Run Chico Run is heading out on tour this October. The band is starting out in Hamilton, Ontario today (October 4th) then making their way back home, finishing off in Vancouver on Halloween night.
There is a total of 14 dates for the boys of Run Chico Run, promoting their newest studio album. 'Shashbo' was just released on September 21st, putting 12 more tracks of indescribable sound into the world. You can listen to two songs off of the new album ('Blue Bike' and 'Lifestyles of the Living Dead) at the band's official site (www.runchicorun.com), and try to tag a style on the sound for yourself.
Maybe best compared to Canada's other loveable eccentrics The Unicorns, Run Chico Run have released three albums. The band debuted back in 1998 with their album 'Melee' - the record contains 18 tracks of as many different styles of music. Run Chico Run followed 'Melee' up with 2001's 'A New Peak In Lowdowness', which was released through Magic Teeth records.
