The Dears Finally Release Live Album

Published: 2004-10-04
For those who haven't had the pleasure of seeing The Dears perform live, here comes a new alternative. The Montreal six-piece is set to release their very first live album this very Tuesday (October 5th). 'Thank You Good Night Sold Out' was originally slated for release in September, but unfortunately plans were pushed back. Finally ready to hit stores, the album features 10 live tracks recorded during The Dears' tour promote their 2003 album 'No Cities Left'.

The track-listing of 'Thank You Good Night Sold Out' is as follows:

'Autotomy'
'C'etait Pour la Passion'
'End of a Hollywood Bedtime Story'
'Who Are You'
'Defenders of the Universe?'
'22: The Death of All The Romance'
'Warm and Sunny Days'
'Lost in the Plot'
'Pinned Together'
'Falling Apart'

The Dears also have an EP coming out this Tuesday. The five-track record is called 'Protest EP' and, like 'Thank You Good Night Sold Out', is being released via Maple Music Recordings. 'Protest EP' was originally released in 2002, but was just a limited edition. Both records can be bought through the label's site at www.maplemusic.com.

In other news, The Dears are preparing to release 'No Cities Left' in the United States of America. The band, which has been together for ten years, signed with SpinArt Records and are set to blow away our neighbours to the south, just like they did the British.
