This fall, one tour is bringing a heavy hitting all-Canadian line-up to 26 cities across the country. Ontario's Pilate is teaming up with fellow province-men Memory Bank and Yukon's Boy to the delight of indie music fans across the nation. The bands' extensive tour of the country kicks off on October 12th in Moncton, New Brunswick, and then heads westwards to Vancouver, before bouncing back east again to play their final date in Thunder Bay, Ontario on November 20th.
Fresh off a stint in the UK, Pilate is back home continuing to promote their July 2004 debut 'Caught By The Window'. Sounding more akin to British bands rather than their Canadian brethren, Pilate brought a new sound to this country's repertoire. The band enjoyed immense success with first single 'Into Your Hideout', which found itself riding high on the Canadian charts.
Boy, lead by vocalist/guitarist Stephen Kozmeniuk, is preparing to release their second full-length album. Titled 'Every Page You Turn', the record is set for release on October 26th. The first single lifted from the album, called 'Same Old Song' is receiving some pretty decent air-time at Much Music. View the video for the song at www.boytheband.com.
This Tuesday (October 5th), Sault Ste. Marie's Memory Bank will release their newest album. 'Litany and Lethargy' is the band's sophomore effort; their debut album 'Winter Kept Us Warm' was released in 2002 to warm reviews.
