Fresh off a tour of the UK, Canadians Ron Sexsmith and Sarah Slean are ready to tour their home and native land this fall. Sexsmith is headlining a 17 date tour of the country, with Slean accompanying him for 5 of them. Starting off in Ontario, Sexsmith will travel towards the Pacific and then head back towards the opposite coast before returning to Ontario. The tour kicks off on October 14th in Guelph, Ontario finishing off in St. Catharine's, Ontario on November 29th.
Sexsmith is out supporting his seventh full-length album 'Retriever' released in April 2004. The critically acclaimed singer/songwriter has won the praise of many of his peers, even working with Coldplay's Chris Martin on a duet. His self-titled debut album appeared nearly ten years ago in May of 1995, on Interscope.
His opener for a few of his dates, Sarah Slean is touring to promote her second major label album called 'Day One'. The record is the follow-up to 2002's 'Nightbugs', and is set for release on October 26th. The first single 'Lucky Me' can currently be heard on radio stations across the nation.
