Blonde Redhead and Liars Tag Team Canada

Published: 2004-09-23
Experimental rock band Blonde Redhead and punk-funk trio Liars have joined forces to tour across North America. The massive 38 date tour will span the last three months of the year; it kicks off on October 4th in North Carolina and doesn't finish until December 4th in Boston. There are three Canadian stops scheduled on the tour: one each in Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver.

Both bands have 2004 albums to promote on the fall tour. Blonde Redhead released their sixth record 'Misery Is A Butterfly' in March, and Liars put their sophomore effort 'They Were Wrong, So We Drowned' into the world on February 24th.

Hailing from New York, Blonde Redhead has been able to call themselves a band for over ten years now. Comprised of twin musician brothers and a female vocalist, Blonde Redhead creates unique Indie rock, filled with artistic vision. The band first appeared on the music scene with their tripped out 1995 self-titled debut album.

Liars also call New York City home, but are a relatively new band. The group put out its debut album in 2001 amidst the New York craze that took the world by storm earlier this decade. Always the creative bunch, Liars titled the album 'They Threw Us All in a Trench and Stuck a Monument on Top'.

Blonde Redhead & Liars Canadian stops:

October 22 Toronto, ON - Opera House
October 23 Montreal, QC - Club Soda
November 13 Vancouver, BC - Commodore Ballroom
