Regina's Despistado are making the long journey from Edmonton, Alberta to Barrie, Ontario in the next two months. The four-piece's fall tour kicks off tomorrow (September 23rd), hitting all the provinces in between Alberta and Quebec before finishing off on October 12th. There are 15 Canadian stops in all, after which, Despistado will be heading down to New York City to play at the legendary CBGB music club.
After a few weeks off, the band will then start up again, playing a series of dates on the East coast. So far just two performances have been scheduled, both in Halifax, but Despistado promises more to come.
The band has been together for a good three years, and released their first record in June 2004. That record was a 6-song EP titled 'The Emergency Response' (released via Jade Tree), with plans for a full-length sometime in the future.
