The members of Vancouver's the Organ are set to pick up their feet and trek to the side of the country opposite their hometown to play a series of gigs. The five-piece has thirteen dates lined-up, many of them with Toronto's own Controller.Controller. The Eastern shows will kick off on October 19th in London, Ontario, finishing with two dates in Halifax, Nova Scotia on November 5th & 6th.
After they wrap up their fall dates, the ladies of the Organ will be anxiously awaiting the U.S. release of their newest effort. 'Grab That Gun' is set to hit American shelves on November 2nd, through Vancouver's Mint Records. The album has done very well on the Canadian college charts, still sitting in the top 15 nearly five months after its initial release.
Released in May 2004, 'Grab That Gun' was the band's full-length debut album; previous to the ten-track LP, the Organ released an EP entitled 'Sinking Hearts' in 2002. The quartet recently released the newest single off of 'Grab That Gun' called 'Brother'. To listen to a sample of 'Brother', head on over to the band's official site at www.theorgan.ca.
