Auf der Maur Tours with Von Bondies and Matt Good

Published: 2004-09-20
Melissa Auf der Maur is set to spend the better part of September and October touring with both Detroit rockers the Von Bondies and Canadian musician Matthew Good. Auf der Maur has a total of 12 Canadian dates coming up: three with the Von Bondies, one solo date, and the rest with Matt Good.

Her co-headlining tour with the Von Bondies kicked off yesterday (September 19th) in Nashville, and will continue until October 8th in Detroit. After that, Auf der Maur will switch gears and tour Western Canada with Matthew Good from October 10th until October 20th.

All three bands are out supporting their 2004 albums. Auf der Maur released her self-titled solo debut album in June; the Von Bondies dropped their debut 'Pawn Shoppe Heart' in March. Matthew Good on the other hand will be promoting his sixth studio effort called 'White Light Rock & Roll Review' (released in June).

Those who make it to the Von Bondies' performances will notice a change within the band. Bassist Carrie Smith recently left the band for a variety of reasons, but parted with the other members on good terms. The Von Bondies already have a new bass player lined-up to take Smith's place, who coincidently is named Yasmine Smith.
