Rammstein Prepare to Release New Album

Published: 2004-09-17
German metal band Rammstein has set a European release date for their newest album. The record has been titled 'Reise, Reise' and will appear in record stores in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland on September 27th. There's no word when 'Reise, Reise' will see a North American release, but fans can get the record on import.

In the ten years that Rammstein has been together, they have released just three studio albums, 'Reise, Reise' being their fourth. 'Mein Teil' was the first single lifted from 'Reise, Reise', and is to be followed by 'Amerika', the cover-art for which, speaks for itself.

Although the industrial-metal genre isn't typically the most mainstream of music, Rammstein have gained quite a bit of notoriety around the world. Many people may best know them as the band featured in the opening scene of the Vin Diesel film 'XXX'. 'Du Hast' is perhaps the band's best known song, taken from the group's 1998 album 'Sehnsucht'. The song allowed Rammstein yet another opportunity to be heard in movie theatres across North America by making an appearance on 'The Matrix' soundtrack.

The track-listing of 'Reise, Reise':

'Reise, Reise'
'Mein Teil'
'Dalai Lama'
'Keine Lust'
'Stein um Stein'
'Ohne dich'
