Yeah Yeah Yeahs Release DVD

Published: 2004-09-14
New York's Yeah Yeah Yeahs are preparing to release a DVD on October 12th. Included on 'Tell Me What Rockers To Swallow' are 16 songs from a live show at the Fillmore in San Francisco, documentary footage, and all of the trio's music videos. Those videos would be 'Date With The Night', 'Pin', the incredibly popular 'Maps', and the band's newest video 'Y-Control'.

The video for 'Y-Control' was directed by Spike Jonze, who is also responsible for the cult films 'Being John Malkovich' and 'Adaptation'. Apparently 'Y-Control' hasn't been quite as successful as 'Maps'. Yeah Yeah Yeahs have picked up on this fact, through their site saying: "Since nobody is playing the video for 'Y-Control' you can see it here:"

Currently the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are finishing up a long string of dates supporting their 2003 release 'Fever To Tell'. The trio spent the better part of two years promoting their debut full-length record, which contained the wonderfully popular 'Maps'. Prior to 'Fever To Tell', Karen O and her counterparts put two EPs into the world: 2001's 'Yeah Yeah Yeahs' and 2002's 'Machine'.
