Michael Moore Delves into Music

He's one of the men responsible for the sudden popularity of documentaries in pop culture, and he's moving into a new realm. Film director Michael Moore is releasing not one but two music albums before the American presidential election. The release date for the albums is scheduled for October 5th.

One of the albums, being released through Sony BMG, is set to contain music that inspired Moore and his film crew while making the controversial 'Fahrenheit 9/11'. Included on the disc is a new song from former Rage Against the Machine singer Zach de la Rocha, who is also a very politically charged individual. Previously released songs from Dylan, Springsteen, the Clash, System of a Down, and Jeff Buckley, also make an appearance on the album.

Warner Music is behind the other album that Moore is spearheading, an official soundtrack for 'Fahrenheit 9/11'. This record will house the film's score and songs that were featured in the documentary. Some of the tracks to be included on the soundtrack are Neil Young's 'Rockin' In The Free World' and R.E.M.'s 'Shiny Happy People'.
