Interpol Take The 'Next Exit' North

Published: 2004-09-08
The North American tour that Interpol promised has finally come to be, but sadly there are just three Canadian dates scheduled. The tour, which kicks off October 11th in Boston, has 24 stops in all. Opening for the New York band are the Secret Machines, the members of which hail from Texas.

Both bands are out playing gigs to support what will become their most recently released albums. Interpol's newest drops on September 28th; the album's called 'Antics' and contains 10 brand new tracks from the 80s inspired band. 'Antics' is Interpol's second full-length record, their first being the critically acclaimed 'Turn On The Bright Lights' (released in 2002).

The Secret Machines will be promoting 'Now Here Is Nowhere'. The album has already been released – it was put on shelves May 18th to be exact. Similar to Interpol, this record is also the three-piece's sophomore effort.

Interpol's Canadian gigs:

October 12 Montreal – Metropolis
October 13 Toronto – The Docks
October 23 Vancouver – Commodore Ballroom
