Van Halen Tour Western Canada

Published: 2004-09-08
Van Halen, one of the world's most beloved bands, will be coming to Canada to play a few gigs. The legendary group is sticking to the western part of the country this time; the rockers already hit Toronto in July. According to the band's site, the last five dates of the tour will take place in the four most western provinces of Canada. For those who aren't sure, that's British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

The tickets for the shows won't be going on sale until this Saturday (Friday for Vancouver), but there surely will be a mad rush for seats.

Sammy Hagar is the one taking hold of the vocal ropes during this tour. Hagar has also shared the lead-singer spotlight with David Lee Roth and Gary Cherone during Van Halen's 30 year existence. The Van Halen albums Hagar provided vocals for include 'For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge' and '5150' (his first album with the band).

Eddie Van Halen and Co. have been touring since June of this year, with hardly any breaks in between cities. The tour won't wrap up until Halloween Eve, assuming the four-piece decides against adding anymore dates. The North American tour has already met a bumpy patch; like many other bands, the members of Van Halen have been forced to rescheduled dates in Florida due to hurricane Frances.

Van Halen's upcoming Canadian dates:

October 23 Vancouver – Pacific Coliseum
October 24 Edmonton – Rexall Place
October 26 Calgary – Pengrowth Saddledome
October 28 Saskatoon – Credit Union Center
October 30 Winnipeg – Winnipeg Arena
