Joel Plaskett Emergency Play East Coast

East coast boy Joel Plaskett is set to play three dates in the Maritimes with his band the Emergency. The three September dates come at the end of five months of touring for the Joel Plaskett Emergency which included dates with Blue Rodeo and the Tragically Hip.

Plaskett released his latest full-length 'Truthfully Truthfully' through Maple Music Recordings, a label that's home to some of Canada's most notable musical acts. 'Truthfully Truthfully', Plaskett's third album, was put on shelves in 2003. The other two records that he's put out as a solo artist are 'Down At The Khyber' (2001) and 'In Need Of Medical Attention' (1999).

Although 'Down At The Khyber' is reportedly out of print, Joel Plaskett Emergency fans who are lacking the album in their collection can listen to the record at New Music Canada (

Undeniably Canadian in both his lyrics and actions, Plaskett is one of the country's best musical assets. In addition to his solo career, Plaskett was a member of Halifax band Thrush Hermit for ten years of his life. The greatly loved group broke up in 1999, yet still manages to have many loyal fans.
