The Telepathic Butterflies CD Release Tour

Published: 2004-09-07
Being released on this very day (September 7th) is the newest effort from power-pop band the Telepathic Butterflies. The thirteen-track album is called 'Songs From A Second Wave' and is being released through Rainbow Quartz records, a label that also houses the High Dials and the Singles.

Hailing from Winnipeg, the Telepathic Butterflies have changed their sound a bit with the material presented on their new album. 'Songs From A Second Wave' is reportedly more radio-friendly than the band's previous releases – 'Nine Songs By The Telepathic Butterflies' and 2003's 'Introducing The Telepathic Butterflies'.

Creating songs akin to that of other Canadian favourites the New Pornographers, the Telepathic Butterflies are ready to win over the hearts of their countrymen just like the Pornographers have. To help them in their quest the Telepathic Butterflies have scheduled nine dates around the country to celebrate the release of 'Songs From A Second Wave'.

The band will mainly be playing on the Eastern side of the country, with two dates past the halfway mark towards the Pacific. In addition to the Butterflies' short jaunt across the country, they will also be playing a release party in their hometown earlier on in the month (this Friday, Sept. 10th to be exact).

The Telepathic Butterflies' upcoming dates:

September 10 Winnipeg – The Collective Cabaret
September 26 Hamilton – The Casbah
September 28 Toronto – The Horseshoe Tavern
September 29 Waterloo – Starlight
September 30 Wakefield – Black Sheep Inn
October 02 Montreal – Green Room
October 05 Toronto – The 360
October 07 Windsor – The Phog
October 13 Vancouver – The Railway Club
October 16 Calgary – Broken City
