Placebo Release Collection of Singles

One of Britain's most successful alt-rock groups, Placebo is doing the world a favour by releasing a collection of their singles. The album, called 'Once More With Feeling: Singles 1996-2004', is slated for release on October 25th in the UK and will presumably be released around the same time in North America.

Placebo has released four studio albums in their time together, and songs from each will be included on 'Once More With Feeling'. The band debuted with '96's 'Placebo', releasing 'Without You I'm Nothing' in '98, 'Black Market Music' in 2000, and finally 2003's 'Sleeping With Ghosts'. Also included on the singles collection is two brand new Placebo songs: 'I Do' and 'Twenty Years'.

'Twenty Years' is set to be the next single that the trio releases, putting it out into the world on October 18th.

The collection will be available in both CD and DVD format. The DVD version of 'Once More With Feeling: Singles 1996-2004' includes unseen footage of Placebo, and an interview with the band.

According to the band's website, Placebo has only one performance left before they take a break from touring until the year 2006. That last pre-2006 gig will take place in London on November 5th, 2004.
