This is What Le Tigre Sounds Like

Published: 2004-08-31
Politically charged band Le Tigre is preparing to put their third full-length album on the shelves of music stores. Titled 'This Island', the record is set for release on October 19th. The first single lifted from the upcoming album is called 'New Kicks', a song that simply calls for peace. Now.

'New Kicks' features samples from Al Sharpton and out-spoken actress Susan Sarandon. You can view the video for 'New Kicks' at mtv.com.

To promote their new album, Le Tigre will be touring in both Europe and North America. The trio will spend most of October overseas, visiting their European fans before 'This Island' is even released in North America. The band will then tour at home, making a few stops in Canada along the way.

Although the dates have not officially been announced through Le Tigre's website, Soul Shine has the band's Canadian gigs listed right here (in an unofficial way).

Le Tigre's Canadian stops:

October 24 Montreal – Club Soda
October 25 Toronto – The Guvernment
November 23 Vancouver – Commodore Ballroom
